Tessa Thompson
Tessa Lynn Thompson, an singer and actress of Los Angeles was born in 1983. She is a daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) as well as the grandchild of Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. The family lived at home in Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Her mother comes from Mexican as well as British Isles origins, and her father is an African-Panamanian. Thompson participated in several productions while during her time at Santa Monica High School. In the years following her graduation, she attended Santa Monica College where she graduated with a degree in culture anthropology. In the role of Juliet her character, she performed in William Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet" as part of an Pasadena California production of the Boston Court Theatre. The same year, her performance earned an NAACP Theatre Nomination. Tessa's first television appearance came during 2005, when she starred on CBS.
