Cheryl Hines
Cheryl Ruth Hines grew up close to Tallahassee near Tallahassee in Florida. She was born in Miami Beach on September 21, 1964 to Rosemary (Graham), and James Hines. She attended West Virginia University, Florida State University and graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida. When she began studying TV and theater production in Los Angeles, she realized that comedy was something she had never really understood until she had studied at the university. Lisa Kudrow, her first teacher at the Groundlings Theatre was an outstanding teacher. She taught her how to play improvise and make comedy sketches. This experience helped her prepare for the role of Larry David's wife on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). The dialogue on the situation comedy is improvised, so she's at home. In the event that she's able to, she still performs with the Groundlings Theater.
